“Saloum” is a fictional story. Hyenas are shot down while eluding a coup and rescuing a drug lord from Guinea-Bissau. They are forced to conceal their stolen gold bounty in Saloum. They must also stay hidden long enough for their plane to be repaired and refueled so they can make it back to Dakar, Senegal. When they seek refuge at a summer camp in Sine-coastal Saloum’s region, they try to blend in with the other campers, including a mute named Awa who has her own secrets and a police officer who may be hot on their trail, but it turns out that Chaka is the one who is concealing the biggest secret of all.

Unbeknownst to the other Hyenas, he has a purpose for bringing them there, and as his history catches up with him, his choices have terrible repercussions that threaten to unleash hell on them all.

Stars in Saloum include Mentor Ba, Marielle Salmier, Bruno Henry, Roger Sallah, Evelyne Ily Juhen, and Yann Gael. The movie is the first thing that the pan-African Lacme Studios, run by Pamela Diop and Herbulot, have produced. Hus Miller, Douglas Jackson, and Mike Shema served as executive producers on the Saloum film, which was made by Diop. Co-producers include Alexis Perrin and EV.L Prod.
