Arctic Survival Game Dread Hunger Trailer Is Out

Those looking for a video game version of Antonia Bird’s Ravenous should keep an eye on Dread Hunger by Digital Hunger Team. The game will not only be released from Early Access on Steam later this fall, but it has also recently received an update to its Early Access build.

The scenario for Dread Hunger follows you and up to seven other companions in the isolated Artic as you try to live while sailing your ship past an iceberg, similar to other survival games like Project Winter. However, there are two Thralls among you, and you must either root them out as Explorers while trying to escape alive, or foil their efforts as Thralls using magic or plain ol’ murder as the Thralls themselves.

You have in-game voice chat to help/hinder you while you go about your responsibilities (such as refilling the ship) or trying to figure out who the guilty persons are in your midst, as these types of games go. And, sure, if and when food runs out (or is poisoned), you may have to resort to the unsavoury practise of eating your fellow Explorers in order to keep going.

Meanwhile, the game’s most recent update adds a new area, a new character, and a new weapon, as well as a slew of additional bug fixes and adjustments.

This is a game of survival and betrayal for eight players. The explorers navigate their ship across the harsh Arctic. Two traitors within the crew enlist the help of dark forces to bring them down. The film will be released on April 23, 2021.

Survive the Arctic, construct fires to stay warm, fend off wolves and other predators, and seek for food are just some of the things to accomplish in this game. Betray your pals by feeding them poisoned food, luring animals to attack them, hexing them with blood magic, or shooting them in the back if all else fails. You are what you eat, and to keep fed in the Arctic, you’ll have to make some difficult decisions. Body parts are butchered and used as weapons or food. Steer a 19th-century warship as a captain and brave a perilous world.
