Tadaomi Shirotani works as the secretary to the president of Tosawa Corporation and suffers from severe mysophobia. His obsessive-compulsive disorder has limited him in every way, from not being able to leave the house without gloves to cleaning his hands so vigorously that they bleed.

When the president is in an accident, he is saved by a mysterious young man who appears and then disappears. Shirotani is ordered to pursue him and meets Riku Kurose, a man who quickly recognizes his mysophobia. Shirotani reluctantly follows his advice to seek professional help and visits Shimada Psychosomatics in the hopes of seeing a psychiatrist. When he runs into Kurose again, he reveals that he is a counselor at the clinic and offers to treat Shirotani’s condition.

Kurose instructs him to make a list of ten things he is hesitant to do, thereby initiating his course of exposure therapy. Shirotani, however, is perplexed as to why Kurose would be so kind to a stranger. After all, the two have only recently met, and Kurose does not deny the accusations of a hidden agenda.

Kurose issues a challenge with number 10 on the list left blank by an undecided Shirotani. Shirotani’s newfound counselor will finally tell him the truth once he identifies the final item, the thing he dislikes the most.
