The story is set in 1997, a little boy and his grandfather (Schneider) are out hunting when they come across a secret staircase deep in the woods. Locals are perplexed as to what happened to the wandering couple after they vanished. A party of hikers set out on an ambitious trek 20 years later, leading them deep into a remote area of woods. They are oblivious to a malevolent entity waiting just beyond the trees because they are overcome by the beauty of their surroundings. As the group is drawn deeper into the mountains, they unwittingly stumble upon a long-forgotten evil and come face to face with the stuff nightmares are made of.

Adam Korson, Brent Bailey, Stacey Oristano, Tyra Colar, and festival winner Josh Crotty are among the film’s all-star cast.

The Stairs, directed by Peter Tiemann, combines the sweeping natural grandeur of the Pacific Northwest with Hollywood’s stomach-churning gore in this modern-day film. Both Tiemann and Jason L Lowe wrote the screenplay along with Tiemann producing and Lowe serving as an executive producer. Andrew Nevils, Christopher Hill & Amy Bovenkamp, John Kritsonis, Karl Lindor, Thomas Lowe, Wesley Barker, and Scott Riefler also served as Executive Producers on the film.

The film will be released in theatres for a one-night event on August 12th.
