Filmmaker Corin Hardy is still waiting for the chance to restart his long-awaited The Crow remake. For years, Hardy had been working with Aquaman star Jason Momoa even attached to direct it on a new instalment in The Crow franchise. Unfortunately, things fell apart, and the reboot was shelved, but despite the difficulty in getting it off the ground, Hardy remains optimistic that it will happen soon.
Corin Hardy is so optimistic that he is holding on to the work he produced over the years, keeping it hidden in case his reboot of The Crow is eventually given the green light. The filmmaker’s enthusiasm for the project is palpable, and given his fondness for gritty action in the series Gangs of London, the studio would be well to take notice and bring Hardy’s vision for The Crow back to life.

He stated that it is a story that he adores and is committed to. He poured three and a half, four years of love, blood, sweat, and tears into it, and he has a lot of material. He doesn’t want to show his extensive material since he still believes there will be a Crow at some point. He believes that both James O’Barr’s original Crow graphic novel and subsequent iterations of that character in comic books show that there’s no reason not to do a lot more with that character because the concept of The Crow, the mythology of The Crow, and the tone and meaning that character represents are still unique in the world we live in.
The Crow is a gothic superhero comic book series written by James O’Barr about a young man named Eric who witnesses his fiancée, Shelly, being murdered by a group of street criminals after their car breaks down. After being shot in the head, Eric succumbs to his injuries and dies in the hospital. He is resurrected by a crow and seeks vengeance on the murders, hunting and killing them meticulously while grieving Shelly’s death.
