The demon girl next door is launching its second season very soon. After the success of season one, the director and the cast have announced the release of a new season. The season followed the Japanese manga, which followed publication in Manga Time Kirara Carat- a Japanese magazine for young adults. Houbunsha looked after the publication, since 2014. With its latest release, the manga has published a total of six volumes. The launch of season one was confirmed on December 2, 2019.
As the season second has already been released, let’s learn all that has happened till now. In the previous season, we were introduced to our main characters- Yuko and Momo. Destined to be rivalries, the girls unknowingly develop a strange companionship. When Yuka wakes up from a strange dream and finds horns like that of a devil, her mother tells her about her ancestry. Born in a demon family, they are forced to live in poverty, because of the light clan. It is on Yuka to defeat the descendant of the light clan, who is her classmate- Momo.
An incident follows another, and Momo somehow appears always on time, helping and saving Yuka. She lent her out funds, and as the episode proceeds, Yuko finds herself in debt. Momo saved Yuko from getting hit by a truck. Not only this, she assists Yuko to increase her power. Their battles kept on getting postponed till Yuko pays all her debts to Momo. On the other hand, Yuko looks after Momo when she develops a fever, after the visit of Lilith in her dreams.
Yuka accidentally lifts the curse from her family, and they don’t have to live a life of poverty. Though Yuko tries throughout the plot Momo takes her seriously, and thereby, at the end of the plot, she proposes a friendly duo to check their powers. At the end of season one, we saw that Yuko decides to quit magic and become a vassal. Though momo refuses to accept the offer as it would make Yuko weak.
When has season second of the anime the demon girl next door aired?
The second season has already premiered on April 8, 2022. J.C. Staff animated the season of the anime the demon girl next door, and Hiroaki Sakurai directed it. Mai Otsuka looked after the design of the characters. Season one aired from July 12 to September 27, 2019. The season was aired on platforms like TBS and BS-TBS.
Who all will be in the second season of the anime the demon girl next door?
The series’ debut season has introduced to us several interesting and dynamic characters like- Yuko Yoshida- a high school girl, who is popularly known as “Shamiko”. Momo Chiyoda, possesses high physical strength. Lilith- an ancestor of Yuko, who appeared in her dreams. Mikan Hinatsuki- a girl with magical powers. Joshua- Yuko’s father. Seiko Yoshida- Yuko’s mother. There are other characters too, whose presence added a complete look to the anime series, like- Anri Sata, Sion Ogura, Ryoko Yoshida, Sakura Chiyoda, Lico, Shirosawa, and Ugallu. Season second has brought back all the characters from season one.

What will follow the plot of season second of the anime the demon girl next door?
Well, as we have learned in the previous season about the backgrounds of the main characters, the season second opens with an invitation from Yuko to Momo for a duel. We also learned about the story of Yuko’s father Joshua. In the latest season, like Momo, Yuko gets a lead about the card box into which Joshua was sealed they begin their hunt, alongside Mikan.
The gang discovers a wand used by Joshua, which turns into any tool, the user thinks. The gang is also hunting for Sakura and learns from Shirosawa that the last time he saw Sakura was ten years ago. Yuka searches her memories ten years back- and was chased by bad ones, where Sakura saved her. As we further saw, Momo’s new goal is to make Yuko happy and help her with her promise to Sakura to promote the city.
In the later plot, the fans will know whether the girls alongside Sakura are able to protect the city or not? As momo had joined the dark side, what will follow her fate is also to be revealed? And at last will, Yuko be able to come in contact with Lilith again?
All these answers will be revealed as the new episodes will be revealed.
