    Anime storylines can make us go crazy over their multiple times and numerous worlds. The Irregular At Magic High School is also one of the many anime which takes us into a different time zone. The plot is set in a different world, in which magic exists for real along with advanced technology. Two seasons have been released of the series. Season third is in talks to be released soon.     Written by Tsutomu Sato, the novel is illustrated by Kana Ishida. The first publication of the novel was seen on July 10, 2011. The airing was concluded on September 10, 2020. The direction of the series is looked after by Manabu Ono and Risako Yoshida. The series has three scriptwriters- Muneo Nakamoto, YukitoKizawa and Yukie Sugawara.     The plot has been set in an altogether different world. World War third takes place in the alternate world, reducing the population to a very less number. The war also results in limiting power, particularly to four nations- The United States of North America, the New Soviet Union, the Great Asian Alliance, and Japan.

    The story explores the power group in Japan and their administration using both magical power and technology. Though it’s a magical world, the number of people having access to such power is very limited. There is a group of Ten Master Clans who govern the citizens in Japan, instead of government officials.

    Population which can perform the magic art is expected to be enrolled in some sort of magical school. After their schooling in magic arts, they are expected to opt for such career options. The education system also follows a different pattern. There are a total of nine schools, specializing in one thing. Not having any name, they are just referred to by their number.

    The story revolves around Tatsuya Shiba and Miyuki Shiba. Tatsuya is her sister’s bodyguard, and the heir of the Yotsuba Clan, one of the Ten Master Clans governing the citizens. Though the students are categorized on the basis of their abilities. Miyuki is put under the group of first-course students, the best batch.

    Whereas, Tatsuya is as not as sharp in magic and categorized under the second course. Though it’s his smart tactics, abilities, and technical advancement which make him the center of attention or the “Irregular” at the National Magic University Affiliated First High School.

    The first season of the anime series was sired in 2014, completing its release on September 28, 2014. The sequel followed the first season after a gap of six years. Season second was released in 2020. It finished airing on December 27, 2020. Season three will also follow the series, as a trailer for the same has been released in Japan. It has been confirmed through an announcement made on December 31, 2021. International fans will have to wait a bit more for the dubbed trailer.

    What shapes the relationship of this brother and sister duo is the incident that happens on a vacation in Okinawa. As the family survives an attack from the Great Asian allies, Miyuki, who acts initially cold to her brother, because of his magical “inabilities”. Though having better skills, he is able to save Miyuki from the attack. Miyuki then begins to look forward to her brother and they grow strong. Later, Miyuki’s submission increases to a level that she confesses her feelings to Tatsuya. Being siblings but sharing different powers, we saw that they are engaged.

    Following this, it is confirmed that the brother-sister duo, which converted into a couple, will be cast as the main lead. The story is expected to explore their relationship more, alongside focusing on the side characters too.

    There is no news about the introduction of new characters, but one can expect to see the previous side characters- Erika Chiba, Leo Saijo, Honoka Mitsui, Shizuku Kitayama, and Minami Sakurai.
