Anime themes can take us into a whole different world altogether. One such storyline follows in the manga- The Legendary Hero is Dead!. The manga has a total of 20 volumes. Written and illustrated by Subaruichi, it’s been under publication since 2015, the publication was completed in March 2021. An anime adaptation of the same has been announced. The manga series would soon be aired as an anime television adaptation. Liden Films handling the production and the direction is being looked after by Rion Kujo.

The story revolves around a guy named Touka Scott, who is an ordinary farmer. Initially, we notice that Touka is not the main lead, leading a basic lifestyle, enjoying his liking for thigh-highs, and setting up little prank traps. On the other hand, another character appears, who does all the perfect acts and has gained popularity in the region. To our surprise, Shion might be the hero, but Touka “accidentally” becomes the hero, when he accidentally kills Shion.
What will follow in the anime adaptation?
The fans are super-excited with the announcement of an anime adaptation for the manga series finally. In the anime, a funny plot is expected, with the character of Touka and his little daily life pranks. We will also get to see the hero Shion, who will eventually fall prey to Touka’s trap and will be killed off.
Still, what keeps the fans more engaged in the reaction which follows after Shion’s death. Troubled, Touka ponders over what to do and how to get over the murder and falls asleep. Though the morning was not the same for him, as he found himself in Shion’s body the day before. He seeks the help of some dark magic offered by a micrometer. The whole picture changes as now Shion was never dead. In his body, Touka had access to Shion’s sense. Combining his appearance and sense, the character maintains humor. He also convinces people and helps himself by hiding “Shion’s death”. Touka, the micrometer, and the other’s adventures will be revealed in the anime adaptation.
Touka and his love for thigh-highs os expected to add a lot to his character and the anime. How he will hide the death of shion while being in his body will also be revealed in the series. Touka’s pranks and his ordinary life will also be displayed.
The storyline involves a murder, but still, it has more comedy. The story will cover the story of an ordinary farmer suddenly turning into a hero. As the adventurous journey of Tonka, the barometer and his friends will start, the fans will enjoy a good laugh. For the lovers of comedy, this anime works perfectly.
Is there any anime adaptation for the manga series?
It has been announced on April 28th, 2022 that an anime series will be following the manga. The announcement has been confirmed by the production house Liden Films, and the director Rion Kujo. The fans will soon have access to all the episodes. Before the anime announcement of the anime adaptation, it was published on the Ura Sunday website and an app is known as MangaONE, specially designed for manga lovers.
When is the anime set to release?
The anime will be released in 2023. There are a total of 20 volumes of the manga. Information regarding the number of episodes it would be having is not available. Currently, Kana Konishi and Yukio Kondo are handling the music.
Who all are expected to see in the anime?
The main leads- Touka Scott, voiced by Wataru Kato, and Sion Bladan voiced by Shun’ichi Toki will be in the anime. Apart from them, the necrometer who helped touka to get inside Shion’s body will also play a major role.
