American animated series The Powerpuff Girls began airing in 1998 and went on for about six seasons. Following Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles through their rescue missions and adventures, this show was dear to almost all children of that generation. To this day, it remained, one of the best-animated series ever made, right up there with the likes of Dexter’s Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, and many more. The show has a gripping plot, and fantastic villains and showcases a strong friendship between the three girls but it also laid important groundwork for female superheroes that we get to see today. Now, CW has ordered a pilot episode for the brand-new Powerpuff Girls live-action series.
What we know about the plot details till now
Working on some of the most popular shows like Vampire Diaries, iZombie, Reign, and Riverdale, CW Networks might be the perfect choice for a Powerpuff Girls’ live-action sequence. In this show, the girls will be grown twenty-year-olds who now spend their time regretting a wasted childhood on fighting bad guys. However, as the world finds itself in danger again, it is up to them to make a choice between going back to do what they do best or choose a life of peace and stability. The show is being executive produced by Sarah Schechter, David Madden, and Greg Berlanti of Berlanti Productions, collaborating with Warner Bros. Television.

How the original show laid ground works for this monumental recognition
Other animated series has previously been adapted into live-action, such as Archie and Sabrina. Still, neither of them was as superior as The Powerpuff Girls in terms of animation, all thanks to animator Genndy Tartakovski. The original animated series was created by Craig McCracken, who later went on to revive the show, and today, as a result of the success achieved by both of them, a live-action of the same is all set to see the light of day. Tartakovski said in a recent interview that it is possible that the live-action may not do justice to the original show. Still, it is essential to remember that the original was worth getting a live-action remake in the first place.
