The Official Trailer for Prime Video’s New Unscripted Series “The One That Got Away” has been released.
When Fulwell 73 Productions’ reality romance experiment launches on Prime Video on June 24, the six singles who will be yearning for love from their past will be revealed.
The official trailer for the unscripted reality romance series The One That Got Away, hosted by pop superstar and singer/songwriter Betty Who, was published today on Prime Video. As part of the teaser release, Prime Video also revealed information about the six singles in quest of love. On Friday, June 24, the entire series will be available on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories around the world.
The One That Got Away follows six individuals on a never-before-seen quest for love, as they are given the opportunity to examine a lifetime of missed relationships. The possible partners are likely to be dramatic, whether it’s a high school buddy whose crush was always unrequited or a kind stranger who offered a helping hand five years ago. In this time-traveling, experimental dating series, people from their past enter through “The Portal” one by one to surprise them and have their chance at love.
Gabe Turner (The Late Late Show with James Corden) and Caroline Roseman (Ex on the Beach, An Audience with Adele) also serve as executive producers. Elan Gale (The Bachelor franchise, FBoy Island) acts as executive producer and showrunner. Amazon Studios and Fulwell 73 Productions are collaborating on The One That Got Away.
The One That Got Away will be the first release from Prime Video’s summer slate of reality shows. In July, all eight episodes of Forever Summer: Hamptons will air, and in August, all ten episodes of Cosmic Love will air. These three will join other unscripted blockbusters on Prime Video, such as Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, which is now streaming on the service, and Making the Cut, which is returning for Season Three this summer.
Meet The Six Singles:
Vince, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA,
Vince is a Chinese-Taiwanese-American of first-generation. He met his first love when he was 17, but after nine years of dating and co-founding a successful business, he concluded they were better off as friends. He’s now a successful lawyer who spends his time either in the courtroom or on the beach getting rays. Vince is also a full-time dog dad who is looking for the paw-feet mom for his dog, Leo.
Houston, TX’s Allyssa
Allyssa never felt like she belonged in Houston as a child. She didn’t discover her interest for exercise and self-care until she went to college in California, which helped her grow into the confident woman she is now. Allyssa believes in manifesting her desires, and she has been known to keep a list of men in her journal.
Nigel from Los Angeles, California
Nigel, a former collegiate basketball player, turned his skills into a prosperous real estate professional who is bored of dating games. Nigel is tired of lackluster romances, the party scene, and attending couples’ trips with random dates as a prosperous single living in Los Angeles. He’s ready to fall in love, not just find it. He has learned about himself from the traits of women in the past, and he is no longer ready to miss out on love! He’s hoping that his future wife will enter The Portal.
New York, NY resident Jeff
Jeff is a New York City-based gregarious and adventurous boy-next-door. He used sports as a way to fit in with the straight crowd when he was younger. Jeff came out at the age of 21 by mistake, but it altered his life forever, and he is now out, proud, and enjoying his ultimate dream life. Jeff developed a homosexual travel blog that brings people from the LGBTQ+ community from all over the world together to share their experiences coming out (along with their bums). Because he travels so much for work and meets potential suitors mostly on vacation, settling down hasn’t been a possibility… until now.
Kasey from Guttenberg, New Jersey
Kasey’s conservative parents pushed her to succeed in all she did, from academics to sports. She puts the same amount of effort into her profession and, of course, her personal relationships. Kasey ended her most recent relationship with the man she believed she’d marry after 7.5 years. Kasey felt she needed to prioritize herself after raising two dogs and a cat with her partner. She’s now yearning for a real connection with someone, and she’s not afraid to go out of her way to acquire it.
Ashley is from Berlin Center, Ohio.
Ashley, who grew up in a small Midwest town, always felt like the “ugly duckling” and spent her leisure time raising chickens. Ashley has always found dating tough, and she has struggled to re-enter the dating scene following a terrible relationship when she was 17 years old. This successful healthcare worker is looking for her ideal man. She already has her dream career as a CT scan technologist.
