    Following the release of The Tomorrow War on Amazon Prime this weekend, director Chris McKay is eager to return to this action-packed sci-fi world for a sequel, and now says that a prospective sequel would investigate the monsters’ origins. If given the chance, McKay intends to build on the foundations set in the first film, which is currently available to view on Amazon Prime.

    The appearance of a party of time travellers from the year 2051 to deliver an important message stuns the globe in The Tomorrow War. The mankind will keep losing a global war for the next 30 years against a, unknown and dangerous alien species. Present soldiers and citizens nee to be transferred to the future if they want to survive. Dan Forester, a high school teacher and family man, is one of many who have been recruited. Dan links up with a bright scientist and his estranged father in a desperate attempt to rewrite the planet’s fate for the sake of his young daughter.

    The Tomorrow War co-stars Yvonne Strahovski, J.K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and Keith Powers, and is directed by Chris Pratt of Guardians of the Galaxy. Zach Dean wrote the script, which was produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, David S. Goyer, Jules Daly, and Adam Kolbrenner.

    The Tomorrow War is a concept that could easily be used and changed for more adventures, hinting to a world far beyond what is depicted in the first film. The plot revolves around the old science fiction trope of time travel – thus the possibilities are nearly limitless.

    The Tomorrow War was intended for a theatrical release by Paramount Pictures, but due to the growing global health crisis, Amazon Studios purchased distribution rights, allowing the platform to expand its cinematic production. The Tomorrow War, which was released digitally on Amazon Prime Video on July 2, 2021, is now accessible to view.
