There will be a sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. It is a part of the hugely well-liked Warhammer franchise, which started off as a book before developing into an intriguing board game and an online game that has drawn in a lot of players. In addition to being an exciting action game, the original Space Marine, developed by Relic Entertainment and released in 2011, was a convincing depiction of a Forge World from the 40K universe.
Despite the fact that it has a lot to live up to, fans of Warhammer 40K and the original game equally cannot wait for the game’s release. So let us watch the video now to see what this game has in store without further ado.
WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE GAME SO FAR
Relic’s Space Marine’s combat pushed back against the prevalent cover-shooter concept of the time with a mechanism that rewarded the player for closing on adversaries, which is one of the primary reasons it is still warmly recalled. In the absence of barriers at hip level to hide behind, its bloody chain sword, power axe, and hammer executions were entertaining to see. The story’s action takes place on Forge World Graia, an alien Ork invasion-infested world where military weapons are made for the Imperium of Man.
The previous space marine game followed the exploits of Captain Titus, slashing his way through hordes of Orks and the forces of Chaos. Unfortunately, the original creators could not produce a sequel, and for many years, it appeared that the narrative would end. Contrary to the Warhammer 40000 universe, relieving news came back in December 2021 with the announcement that Saber Interactive was working on a sequel that Focus Entertainment would be publishing.
For the sequel, it seems that Titus is going to do the same thing with Tyranids, rather thousands of them, for that matter. At the Game Awards 2021, the sole trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 was showcased. A group of Imperial Guardsmen is shown being slaughtered by some ominous-looking Tyranids in it until three of the Emperor’s personal guards arrive to save the day.
At the conclusion of the premiere, the Ultramarine Captain Titus exposes himself as the player character. In addition to the multi-gen increase in graphic processing capacity in the ten years since the release of the first Space Marine, Focus Entertainment has taken over development responsibilities from Relic during that period. The teaser raises more curiosity than it addresses in regards to what Captain Titus has been up to since his capture by the Black Templars at the conclusion of Space Marine.
According to the teaser, a Tyranid infestation has occurred on a planet, and the local Imperial Guard has been brutally eliminated. However, the original game did not include co-op, so it’s possible that it won’t happen this time either. As near as we’re going to go to be able to recreate the Battle of Macragge on any gaming medium other than tabletop, would be watching Titus square off against a Tyranid Warrior wielding a bone sword. Speaking of playability, given that the original game had multiplayer as well, Space Marine 2 may likely include it.
WHEN IS THE GAME GOING TO COME OUT
Despite the fact that fans will undoubtedly be anxious to know when they can acquire Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, the title’s trailer was not accompanied by the release date. However, certain generalizations may be made about when gamers should anticipate the game based on the information that is known about the title’s publisher and developer. Saber Interactive, the company behind “World War Z” and the anticipated but postponed “Evil Dead: The Game,” is creating the game.
Saber Interactive has a tradition of working on numerous games in a single year, but given that the studio has a few games planned for 2022, it’s possible that “Space Marine 2” won’t be released until later. That is unless the “Warhammer 40,000” game has been in progress for longer than fans initially thought. Space Marine 2 should be available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, among other platforms. The gamer should have all they require to kill Xenos filth, if they have a modern computer or gaming device.
So far, very little is known about the exact details of the game. Gamers have to wait till the game comes out to experience it in its full glory. The title appears to be developing into a fitting successor to the “Space Marine” series from what little has been revealed. So, the Warhammer game could be worth checking out if you’re a fan of the series. Only time will tell what the series has in store for gamers. Till then, please subscribe to our channel for exciting news about Space Marine 2 and many other amazing games.
