Netflix has released the first teaser for the much-anticipated second season. The global pandemic wreaked havoc on the seasons shooting and production, forcing multiple productions halts. However, the cast and crew persevered and concluded filming a little while ago. According to the most recent sources, it is already well into post-production, and it appears that they are far enough along to have video of Ciri to tease in the season’s quick trailer.
Season one of The Witcher left many unsolved mysteries and questions in the minds of the audience. One of the main questions was what happened to Yennefer after the battle of Sodden. However, just at the close of the season, we finally got to see Ciri and Geralt meet, and it appears like Geralt will begin training Ciri at KaerMorhen during season 2, at least based on what we could gather from previous set images and descriptions.

The show stars Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri) in the pivotal roles. The story of the second season is as follows. It is set right where the first season left off and sees the aftermath of the battle of Sodden.Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to his childhood home of KaerMorhen, convinced that Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons fight for supremacy on the outside, he must protect the girl from a far more dangerous threat: the mysterious power she possesses within.
The Witcher season 2 is bound to be full of thrills and new mysteries for the infamous Geralt of Rivia to uncover. A show which became an immediate fan favorite is bound to raise levels of excitement. Check out the teaser trailer and keep an eye out for the new season!
