Where Can I Watch Thor: Love And Thunder (2022)?

Thor has achieved something that neither Iron Man nor Steve Rogers has: the fourth film. In Avengers: Endgame, we last saw Thor saving the universe from destruction before flying out into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Thor: Love and Thunder, his upcoming film, is the latest installment in the Thor franchise and will feature a number of familiar and new Marvel characters. But, in terms of Thor 4, how much do we know? So, let’s see what happens!

On April 18, 2022, Marvel Studios released the long-awaited first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder. With only 81 days until Taika Waititi’s colorful blockbuster hits theatres, the first trailer now holds the record for the shortest gap between the publication of the first trailer and the film’s actual release date in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beating out The Incredible Hulk’s 93-day gap.

While this may raise some eyebrows, it’s possible that Marvel Studios’ marketing staff is already overburdened with Moon Knight now airing and the upcoming releases of both Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ms. Marvel.

The film was set to be released on November 5th, 2021, when it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. Of course, the pandemic forced Marvel to reschedule its whole plan, and Thor 4 will now be released on July 8, 2022. It was originally scheduled for May, but Disney chose to postpone all of their Marvel films, so Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now has the May release date, and Thor: Love and Thunder will follow a few months later.

Russell Crowe is scheduled to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Zeus! Crowe’s role would be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first representation of Greek mythology. We also know that Christian Bale will play Gorr the God Butcher, the film’s antagonist. A character on a quest to defeat the gods, as his name implies. Will Thor, Zeus, and the other gods have to work together to defeat Gorr? We’ll have to wait and see what happens. Crowe’s upcoming Marvel roles don’t stop there; he’ll also appear in Sony’s Kraven the Hunter as a completely new character.

We also learned that Tom Hiddleston, who played Loki, would not be reprising his role. Thanos, the Mad Titan, killed the character in Avengers: Infinity War. So, while Hiddleston is starring in his own Disney+ series as a new version of Loki, he’ll most likely never see this version of Thor again, which is a little sad. But, if Hiddleston isn’t coming back, who will?

The cast of Thor 4 is chock-full of outstanding actors. Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as Thor Odinson, while Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) and Taika Waititi (Korg) will reprise their roles from Thor: Ragnarok. Jaime Alexander (Lady Sif) and Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) will both reprise their roles in the film. As well as the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Karen Gillan (Nebula) and Dave Batista (Drax) will appear in the film. It makes sense, given Thor’s presence at the end of Avengers: Endgame, but nothing has been confirmed.

Matt Damon will also make an appearance in this movie. In Thor: Ragnarok, he had a brief cameo as an Asgardian actor portraying Loki in a stage production. We don’t know if he’ll be reprising the same role or playing a whole different character.

Finally, Natalie Portman returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She hasn’t been in the MCU since Thor: The Dark World, and she’s armed with Mjolnir this time. Portman will play the Mighty Thor in the forthcoming film, according to director Taika Waititi. What does this signify for the plot of the film, and how is this possible?

Thor 4 will begin up where the previous film left off with our favorite Asgardian. He’s gone on a galactic adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy, leaving Valkyrie as the King of Asgard. We don’t know much about Thor: Love and Thunder’s plot, but we do know that Natalie Portman will reprise her role as the Mighty Thor. Jane Foster, with the help of Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, is battling cancer while also becoming a superhero in the comics.

Portman has affirmed that this storyline would be addressed in the film and that she will actually inherit the gods’ power. This, like most Marvel films, is unlikely to be a direct adaptation, although it will undoubtedly be inspired by Jason Aaron’s run on the comic book.

“When we were shooting Ragnarok, I was reading one narrative by Jason Aaron, The Mighty Thor,” Waititi remarked at Comic-Con. And for those of you who are familiar with that plot, it’s fantastic; it’s full of emotion, love, and thunder, and it presents female Thor for the first time. As a result, there is only one person who could fill that function for us. “There’s only one.”
