The novel was published by Hayakawa Publishing- a Japanese publishing company. Bakken Record- a Japanese animation Studio will be looking after the production of the anime film.
The novel has followed a sequel called- To The Solitary Me That Loved You written by the same author- YomojiOtono and published by the same publication company- Hayakawa Publishing. This novel series is also to follow an anime film adaptation by TMS Entertainment. Ken’ichi Kasai will be directing it. It will be released along with the first part on October 7, 2022.

The female lead of the story- Kazune Takigawa has traveled from the 85th world. She has a special reason for the journey taken. It turns out, In her world Koyomi and Kazune are lovers. The news comes as a shock to him.
