Trees of Peace is a documentary based on genuine incidents (true story) from the Rwandan genocide in the 1990s. Brown directed and wrote the film, which follows four women from various origins as they create unbreakable relationships while hiding during the genocide in Rwanda.
The genocide took place between April 7 and July 15, 1994, as armed troops slaughtered members of the Tutsi minority ethnic group. Tutsi deaths are believed to number between 500,000 and 662,000. Despite the fact that the violence of the incident stunned the globe, no government moved up to try to halt the deaths.
The film’s poster, which has all four women’s hands reaching upward towards the light, is particularly stunning in its statement that these heroines are supporting and staying together despite unimaginable tribulation and agony. The video enhances the image by revealing who each of these women is and how distinct they are from one another. Mutesi, Peyton, Jeanette, and Annick must all hide in a little secret area beneath the kitchen floor. The teaser depicts how their sisterhood developed over the course of several tumultuous days.
“Trees of Peace” appears to be the title of a book, and portions from it clearly connect to the lessons conveyed in the film: “Seeds of love are planted each and every day. They are part of life in every single way.”
Is “Trees of Peace” based on a true story?
Trees of Peace, a real tale film that will be available for streaming later this summer, has received a trailer from Netflix. Brown, together with Ron Ray, Barry Levine, Mike Bundlie, Brian Baniqued, Jeff Spiegel, and Vicky Petela, produced the film. Eliane Umuhire, Charmaine Bingwa, Ella Cannon, Bola Koleosho, and Tongayi Chirisa are among the cast members.
On June 10, 2022, Trees of Peace will be released worldwide.
