    Trailer For Disney Classic, Under Wraps Is Here!

    Under Wraps, a Disney Channel mummy thriller from the 1990s, is being revived for a new remake.

    Under Wraps, the Disney Channel mummy film from 1997, will be remade in a modern remake premiering in October on Disney Channel. On August 12, Disney published a one-minute trailer showcasing the revised version of the film. Christian J. Simon, Malachi Barton, Sophia Hammons, and Phil Wright will star in the forthcoming Under Wraps. This impending Under Wraps remake is directed by Alan Zamm.

    Although this version has a more contemporary vibe, it will follow the same core plot as the 1997 version. It takes set around Halloween and revolves around three children who discover a stolen mummy. The reimagined storey takes place a few days before Halloween, when Gilbert, Marshall, and Amy, three 12-year-old friends, mistakenly resurrect a mummy they find in a neighbor’s cellar and name Harold. They must hurry to return him to his final resting place by Halloween midnight.

    Along their perilous route, the squad narrowly escapes a wicked collection of criminals intent on selling the mummy to the highest bidder. When Harold is ultimately captured, Marshall, Gilbert and Amy must band together to stand up to the crooks, face their anxieties and rescue their new friend.

    Bill Fagerbakke featured in the first Under Wraps as a terrifying but endearing mummy who must be restored to his sarcophagus before Halloween. The film was also the first Disney Channel original Halloween film. While Under Wraps does not have the same cult following as Halloweentown, another classic Disney Channel film, it nevertheless has a devoted following of people who remember viewing it as children.

    Lauren Kisilevsky, Disney Branded Television’s Senior Vice President of Original Movies, expresses her delight at the prospect of delivering this old yet timeless narrative to a completely new audience.
