Warner Bros. have been teasing fans of the DCEU for quite some time now as the release date for two of its films near- The Batman and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. After letting fans know about Jared Leto’s Joker connecting the films to Suicide Squad and then giving us a peak at him, they have now made an official announcement for the trailer. Snyder’s Cut will be available to stream starting March 18th only on HBO Max and to make things even better, the film will be up to four full hours long! In addition to Leto’s Joker coming back, the super-villain Darkseid is to be played by Ray Porter, previously seen in films like Almost Famous (2000), The Runaways (2010) and Argo (2012).
Who is Darkseid?
The super-villain Darkseid first made his appearance in the DC Comics back in 1970 and he is not only the arch nemesis of team Justice League but is also one of the most powerful villains of the DC Universe whose only driving factor is the elimination of free-will and destruction of the world. Snyder used his official Twitter handle to announce that the official trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be dropping this Sunday, which makes perfect sense as it is Valentine’s Day. He made the announcement using an eighteen second teaser clip, giving us a glimpse at Darkseid and the dream team of Justice League. Though the villain looks relaxed, almost as if he has achieved all his sinister goals, the superheroes look very pissed off and no one wants to mess with that. The teaser also gives us a brief look at some action-sequences of the film, but more can be expected from the trailer this Sunday.

Why another Justice League is being released
Due to a family tragedy, Snyder had to leave the sets of Justice League (2017) midway and as a result Joss Whedon had to take over the project. The film not having gone the way Snyder had planned left a dent in not just that film but also future objectives he had for the DCEU. Now that he can finally bring his own Justice League to fans, the original course of action may be resumed, but this once again leaves an unfinished timeline in the DC movie world as Snyder has made it clear that with these new films, he plans to start from scratch all over again.
