The Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2 will be released in 2022. On March 4, 2022, it was revealed that the official title of the second season would be Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! W. The “w” will be pronounced as “double.”
Hana Uzaki’s younger sister Yanagi Uzaki and Hana’s father Fujio Uzaki are among the new characters. A new English subtitled Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2 teaser teases the character designs and voice actors, as well as the new title.
Hana Uzaki and Shinichi Sakurai will finally begin to realize there might be more to their friendship in the second season. But when exactly will Season 2 come out?
The anime is ENGI’s second production. Kadokawa established the studio in 2018, making it relatively new.
Predictions for the release of Uzaki-chan Season 2: Anime sequel in Fall 2022?
Since the last update, neither ENGI nor any company involved in the production of the anime has officially confirmed the exact plot of Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2 release date. On the other hand, the official Twitter account has announced that Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2 has been approved for production and will be released in 2022.
Meanwhile, it’s possible to speculate about when Uzaki-chan Season 2 will premiere.
The biggest problem is that anime has almost caught up to the manga. By mid-2022, there will be enough manga chapters to fill in the gap, although it’s possible that more anime original content may be needed in the second season.
Because the sequel’s time frame was not confirmed in March 2022, we can rule out spring 2022. Therefore, the Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! W is expected to be released in summer or fall 2022, although the latter is more likely.
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Manga versus Anime
Based on the manga Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! created by Taking. The Uzaki-chan manga has been serialized since December 2017 and is up to Volume 8 as of March 2022.
Manga volumes are traditionally published twice a year, once in February/March and once in July/August. Thus, Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Volume 9 will be released in August 2022, Volume 10 in March 2023, and so on.
In North America, the manga is being published by Seven Seas Entertainment in an official English translation. By May 2022, the English manga will have reached Volume 7.
The manga might be just another rom-com at its core, but it has one of the best character dynamics seen in recent years. As with Rent-a-Girlfriend, the plot isn’t all about gags because the character development shows off its sugoi dekai heart.
While the anime has stayed true to the manga’s story, the events have been rearranged. Other than reordering events, the adaptation has been relatively straightforward, though some extended scenes have been added. There is no doubt that the anime improved on the manga by adding foreshadowing in earlier episodes by showing flashbacks to Hana’s past at the swim club. Throughout the anime series, the pacing has remained consistent, with around three chapters per episode.
Uzaki-chan Season 2 Plot
The first season of “Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!” was primarily centered on Hana and Shinichi’s daily lives, as her attempts to encourage her upperclassman to abandon their loner lifestyle resulted in countless embarrassing occurrences for him. Based on the season finale, Season 2 will see the show delve deeper into its romantic side.
While Shinichi continues to struggle to accept most of Hana’s acts in the manga beyond this point, the two are much closer to accepting that their connection is deeper than they first assumed. Even as the two begin to act more like a couple, the realization is difficult to come by.
Friends, relatives, and even a fortune teller try everything they can to inform Hana and Shinichi of the most obvious reality about their affections for each other and push them together in the manga. We don’t know how much more of the manga Season 2 will cover, but it should have a lot of material to work with by the time it premieres.
