We’re about to learn everything about growing up in a post-apocalyptic world in Vesper, a science fiction film that follows humanity’s struggle to live following the breakdown of the Earth’s environment. The protagonist of the tale will be a young girl who is compelled to acquire and employ survival skills while attempting to travel across the ravaged Earth and get at a location known as Citadel.
With the main character standing in front of an octopus-like pod that, like everything else, has degenerated into irrelevance, the Vesper poster offers a look of the desolation that Earth has transformed into in the novel.
The protagonist may see a sign of hope on the horizon, or at least this is what she expects to discover at the mysterious Citadel. The companion of Vesper, a friendly-looking floating robot who could serve as the movie’s comedic relief, is also seen on the poster.
One seed may alter everything, which is obviously a reference to the film’s desire to revive the ecology of the Earth. We’ll have to wait until the movie’s release or a more revealing teaser to find out what this seed may stand for and what getting it would entail. It might possibly relate to a specific seed that we’ll learn more about in the mythology of the film.
Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper, a writing and directing team known for their 2012 sci-fi thriller Vanishing Waves, stunned the indie film community. Ten years between projects may indicate that Vesper required a lot of effort, and not just in terms of generating concepts. The film is slated to be an epic fairytale and a magnificent picture, with the best usage of CGI and physical effects.
