What is Dune about?
Paul Atreides, a clever and gifted young man born into a huge destiny beyond his comprehension, must travel to the universe’s most deadly planet to save his family and people. It takes place in the far future, in an interplanetary feudal society ruled by a single all-powerful monarch and several aristocratic families. Duke Leto Atreides, ruler of the ocean world Caladan, accepts a transfer to the hard desert planet Arrakis, known as Dune – to oversee the mining of the vital spice Melange, which is only found on Arrakis.
Melange is the most powerful material in the cosmos, yet it is also the only way to travel through space. The spice must flow, but due to Arrakis’ gigantic indigenous sandworms, mining it is a risky business.
Where to Stream Dune?
Dune had its global premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 3rd, followed by a showing at the Toronto International Film Festival the following week. On October 22nd, Dune will be released in theatres and on HBO Max simultaneously.
Is Dune on Netflix?
Unfortunately, Dune will not be available for viewing on Netflix so subscribers will have to find something else to watch on the platform, however there is no dearth of movies on Netflix.
