Ron’s Gone Wrong is a soon to be released computer-animated science fiction comedy film written by Peter Baynham and directed by Jean-Philippe Vine and Sarah Smith. Barney, a teen who is the only person at his school without a B-Bot, the latest walking, talking digital gizmo that markets itself as a person’s best buddy out of the box, is desperate to have one. Barney believes he has received all of his wishes when he receives a B-Bot for his birthday, but his B-Bot is damaged and does not behave like the others.
Initially, an embarrassed Barney tries to return the robot, Ron, to the store so that he can be exchanged for one that works, but after Ron stands up to the school bullies who have been torturing Barney, he begins to see his new android companion in a new light.
Their relationship begins in the most dysfunctional way possible, yet one of the most important ideas is that you should cherish and celebrate your messy friendships. It’s not about resembling each other; it’s about getting to know each other better.

On Saturday, October 9, Ron’s Gone Wrong will have its international premiere at the London Film Festival, followed by a UK cinema release on Friday, October 15, and a US release a week later on Friday, October 22. A date for the release of the film on home streaming services has yet to be determined.
