A heist movie directed by Mathias Schweighofer, and produced by Deborah and Zack Snyder, Wesley Coller Schweighofer, and Dan Maag, Army of Thieves is a prequel to the Army of the Dead. The screenplay is written by Shay Hatten, based on an original story co-written by Hatten ad Zack Snyder.
The film stars Schweighofer, who reprises his role as Ludwig Dieter. Joining in on the fun ride are Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, and Peter Simonischeck.
The film takes us back to six years before the events in Army of the Dead, to the beginnings of the zombie outbreak. It tells the story of how Ludwig got into his life of crime after being recruited from his monotonous day job as a bank teller. He joins a group of expert thieves as they attempt to pull off a heist in three of the world’s most secure safes.
