Disney+ has released a trailer for their upcoming Pixar Animation Studios, ‘Ciao Alberto’, an animated short film, sequel to the movie Luca and focuses on the character Alberto Scorfano. Luca ends with the titular character fulfilling his dream of attending a human school, while his best friend ‘Alberto’ is adopted by Massimo.
The short is a follow-up to the story in Luca, focusing on what Alberto is up to in Portorosso and how he spends his days waiting for his friend to return. Alberto is working alongside Massimo.
Alberto is keen to make his new father proud as he tries (but ultimately fails) to make Massimo a plate of homemade pasta. He wants more than anything to impress his mentor, but it’s easier said than done.
We also see that Alberto writes a postcard to Luca updating him how he loves his new and catching massive amounts of fish, referring to himself as “the greatest fisherman in the world.”
The Disney shorts proved to be a huge success and so the Luca was very successful. Hopefully, the ‘Ciao Alberto’ would be equally liked by viewers.
