Where Can I Watch Narcos: Mexico?

Initially planned to be the fourth season of the loved show Narcos, Narcos: Mexico is now a companion series of the same. It is being renewed for the third and final season. While narcos followed the establishment of Columbia’s illegal drug trade, Narcos: Mexico follows the story of the development of the illegal drug trade in Mexico.

Narcos: Mexico follows the origins of Mexico’s drug wars, starting from a time when drug traffickers were a loose and unorganized confederation of small, independent marijuana growers and dealers.

The series dramatized the creation of and rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s when Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo (played by Diego Luna in the first two seasons) unified several plazas to build his infamous drug empire.

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officer, Kiki Camarena (played by Michael Pena) moved his wife and son from California to track down Felix Gallardo. However, he soon realizes that his task will be a lot more challenging than he had anticipated.

After the torture and eventual murder of Camarena by the cartel, DEA agent Walt Breslin arrives in Guadalajara with a covert squad of operatives to track down and punish Gallardo and his associates.

Felix Gallardo was dealt a heavy blow in season 2 when he was thrown in jail for the murder of DEA Agent Camarena. So, it will be interesting to see where the series foes with the head honcho behind bars.

Reportedly, the third season is set in the 1990s and shows the ongoing war that broke out between the various factions that had emerged after Gallardo’s incarceration. The newly emerged cartels try to survive political upheaval and escalating violence. In the midst of all this emerges the new generation of Mexican kingpins.  Also, Diego Luna will not be returning in season three as Felix Gallardo.
