Where Can I Watch Stay Close: Season 1 (2021)?

If you found yourself addicted to Netflix series The Stranger and Safe, we’ve got some good news for you. As the team behind The Stranger and Safe are reuniting for their fourth Harlan Coben Netflix adaptation titled Stay Close, based on Coben’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name. Fans will be excited to know that they would soon be dropped back into Harlan Coben’s mystery world again.

Stay Close, an upcoming British crime drama miniseries, is the gripping new thriller which questions how much you really know someone. The thriller follows a group of people living comfortable (yet not entirely satisfactory) lives who each conceal dark secrets that even the closest to them would never suspect.

The key individuals are Megan (Jumbo), a working mother of three, Ray (Armitage), a failed documentary photographer, now stuck in a dead-end job pandering to celebrity obsessed rich kids and Broome (Nesbitt), a detective who’s unable to let go of a missing person’s cold case. But, the lives of all three a photojournalist, a soccer mom and a homicide detective are disturbed by a terrible event from the past when Megan’s old friend Lorraine (Parish) delivers some shocking news which will impact on all three characters.

When Carlton Flynn disappears, it sets off a chain reaction in the lives of the people connected to both him and Stewart Green, who disappeared 17 years prior. The long and tedious search for the police and relatives led to nothing – Green seemed to have vanished into thin air.

The investigation of Greene’s disappearance then engaged an experienced detective Jack Broom, who has made many efforts to shed at least a little light on this mysterious case. But alas, neither the cause, nor the motive, nor Green’s disappearance itself could be found. 4 people, with dark secrets and a past that threatens their lives, struggle to stay close in Harlan Coben’s gripping new thriller, which questions how much you really know someone.

Red Production, Nicola Shindler, Harlan Coben, Danny Brocklehurst and Richard Fee – the same team behind The Stranger and Safe – have brought together an incredible cast for their next series, Stay Close.

Apart from the three main character, the series features a “seemingly sweet young couple”, played by Leonardo’s Poppy Gilbert (Barbie) and Hyoie O’Grady (Ken), plus Line of Duty’s Andi Osho as former army sergeant Simona, who is expecting her first child, and EastEnders’ Jo Joyner as a police detective called Erin Cartwright. Filming took place in and around Manchester, as well as Blackpool, and fans can expect a classic British thriller.
