Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild, (also known as Ice Age: Buck Wild or Adventures of Buck Wild) is an upcoming 2022 computer-animated comedy adventure film, produced by 20th Century Animation and distributed by 20th Century Studios.
The film is a spin-off of the Ice Age franchise, a one of the more enduring series in pop culture, focusing on Buck and will star Simon Pegg as the title character. Unlike past installments, this sixth will be the first Ice Age media to be produced by Bardel Entertainment and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
A new trailer released for the movie sees the return of some familiar faces from the Ice Age franchise, including original characters Manny, Sid and Diego, voiced once again by Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary respectively, along with Queen Latifah back to voice Ellie. The main cast is rounded off with Seann William Scott as Crash and Josh Peck as Eddie.
“The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild” continues the hilarious escapades of everyone’s favorite prehistoric mammals. After the events of Ice Age: Continental Drift, the thrill-seeking possum brothers Crash and Eddie had an argument with their sister Ellie and set out to find a place of their own, but quickly find themselves trapped in the Lost World, a massive cave underground.
They are rescued by their fearless one-eyed pal, the adventure-loving, dinosaur-hunting weasel Buck Wild, and reunite with Buck so they can live a life of adventures just like them. Buck agrees so they can help him defeat a group of rogue dinosaurs that are causing chaos in the underground world and together they embark on a mission to save the Lost World from dinosaur domination. Meanwhile Manny, Sid, Diego and Ellie will have to go back to the Lost World to bring them back to the Herd.
Elsewhere in the trailer, we see the trio of Buck, Eddie, and Crash come to blows against dinosaurs, giant spiders, and other hostiles in the unforgiving Lost World. Sid, Manny, Diego, and Ellie will also show up if only to see what eventually happens with Eddie and Crash. Will Buck earn his stripes as a superhero before the end of “The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild?” We will have to wait and see, assuming we don’t get distracted by a nigh-unattainable acorn.
