Paramount’s upcoming “The Lost City” is an action-packed adventure movie with a rom-com twist and having an A-list cast. This cheesy adventure comedy tells the story of the unlikely couple working together to survive a cutthroat jungle adventure and find the treasure before it’s lost forever. The brothers Adam Nee and Aaron Nee are the directors and co-writers, and Oren Uziel and Dana Fox. This imminent movie’s plot has been taken from Seth Gordon’s story, which indeed gives you wistful 2000’s rom-com vibes.
The Lost City features Sandra Bullock portraying a solitary novelist, namely, Loretta Sage, best known for writing romance-adventure novels though her personal life is not so adventurous. She loves to write about exotic places from the comfort of her bathtub while drinking chardonnay with ice.
She wants to promote her new book “The Lost City” featuring handsome cover model Alan as the main character, “Dash,” played by Channing Tatum. So, she decided to go on a book tour with Alan to meet fans and sell copies of her novel. Being the sexiest man, Alan receives so much admiration from his fans; even their fans for taking selfies gathered him. However, Loretta doesn’t like Alan and often shows frustration towards him while struggling with the realism of her writing.
Things got turned when an eccentric and entitled billionaire known as Fairfax, played by Daniel Radcliffe, read Sage’s book and came to believe that she was the only person who could lead him to the treasure hidden in the real-life Lost City. After Loretta’s refusal, Fairfax kidnapped her and forced her to help him find the lost treasure.
Alan has decided to rescue her, proving himself more than his charming features or sexiest looks and a real-life hero and not just on her novels. Now in such a spicy situation throughout their dangerous tour, they have to fight their way through the wildness of the jungle, proving life can be so adventurous and more romantic than any of Sage’s lustful books. Apart from this, Loretta thinks that she may solve this hidden treasure case. So, let’s see that will she or her unqualified rescuer be able to crack this case or not?
The supporting cast includes Da’Vine Joy Randolph portrayed as Loretta’s publicist and a best friend traveling to the jungle to save her; Brad Pitt stars as a good-looking son of a weatherman who saves the upset damsel Sage from her kidnappers, and Oscar Nunez along with Patti Harrison, Bowen Yang and Raymond Lee whose character are still unnamed.
