Finally, the long-awaited Uncharted movie is coming to hit theatres after making so much effort and passing through many starts and stops during its journey since about 2008 when the first game, the Naughty Dog in the series, was released on PlayStation in 2007. The movie adapts to one of the popular and most critically admired, video game series ‘Uncharted.’ Art Marcum and Matt Holloway writes the story of the film and is directed by a panel of directors including Travis Knight, David O. Russell, Shawn Levy, Neil Burger, Dan Trachtenberg, and Seth Gordon.
Being inspired by the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End game in the PlayStation franchise, the movie centers on a young treasure hunter Nathan Drake played by Spider-Man actor Tom Holland who is on a dangerous mission searching for a unique treasure and to track down his long-lost brother, Sam. During his journey, he first meets his mentor and a professional rogue, Victor “Sully” Sullivan, played by Mark Wahlberg.
Whoever has played the game is very familiar with that; it plays out a very cinematic way. Like the video game, the Uncharted movie is packed with high-energy action-adventure fighting scenes as depicted by a clip of a cargo plane, which has been captured by Tati Gabrielle star as Braddock. Things would not happen as planned, and everyone, including Nathan Drake and Sully, who is on the back of a cargo hauler, has to fight aboard a plane with an open cargo door while having 1000 feet in the air.
Antonio Banderas will portray the movie’s villain, and Sophia Taylor Ali will star as Chloe Frazer, Nathan’s love.
