“Men of West Hollywood” is a shamelessly addictive reality show about six males — three homosexual and three heterosexual — who live extravagant and aspirational lives in Los Angeles. The guys range from gay Justin, the “human Ken doll” (who has undergone numerous plastic surgery), to straight David, who is striving to live the dream in Los Angeles.
The other two straight males are Brennen, a Youtuber, and Landon, a real estate billionaire. Murray Swanby, a gay party producer and underwear model who is the show’s star cast member, and Darren, a gay fashion photographer, round out the cast.
Drama, drama, drama, both personal and professional, abounds as the episodes progress. Swanby is almost like a den mother to the lads, and in one episode, he assists David with his modelling career.
He can, however, pick a fight, as he did when Justin trashed him at a pool party. Nick, an Andrew Christian model who feels the flirting Swanby is more dedicated to his business than any relationship, has some baggage with the charming promoter. Swanby spoke with Gay City News about his role on the show and how he deals with the turmoil.
