This first African kid superhero animated series is about an exceptional common young girl who takes on the responsibility to protect her village from a ruthless villain “TOBOR” and his army of bothersome AI robots. She embarked on this world-changing adventure with her twin brother MB.
Sema’s faith in her own perseverance, inventiveness, and the great world of science and technology could help her do anything. This YouTube Originals kid has been funded by Nairobi-based prodco Kukua and produced by a talented Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o.
This is a female-centric program written by Claudia Lloyd, who has won four BAFTA awards for her work on Charlie & Lola, Mr Bean, and Tinga Tinga Tales, and directed by Lynne Southerland, who is also the first female African-American filmmaker for Disney.
