New York City- “Candified: Home for the Holidays,” a new series, allows you to live out your sugar fantasies in a life-size candy cottage. “Everything unfolded from there,” Jackie Sorkin recalled: “Everything began when I was six years old when I saw ‘Willie Wonka,’ and it all blossomed from there.”
In order to produce a fully-furnished, life-size holiday candy house in time for the holidays, Candy Queen Jackie Sorkin and her team of amazing candy artisans design, manipulate, cut, glue, melt, and shape hundreds of thousands of pieces of candy.
As the sugar blitz is designed with the highest care in the home, it’s a winter wonderland of cotton candy, candies, sour strips, and marshmallows. Gummy bear chandeliers, functional sinks with chocolate milk, and sugar cube igloos loaded with marshmallows are among the attractions.
Sorkin says, “We’re always trying to bring in candy, chocolates, and great stuff that our customers can devour.” However, the most of it is designed to be viewed with your eyes.
It’s not always easy to do outstanding work. Sorkin’s actual employees spent days putting the sweets on the desk and accidentally destroying the penguins so that drama could be added.
“Everyone sees this great team, and it makes me very emotional.” It’s a business, after all, and that’s why we’re working so hard. “I get it,” she added, “what, vision, goal, promise, purpose, everything, I get it,” but “this is my family to me.” The full project is finished, and it contains valuable information for both groups of youngsters and investors interested in constructing a sugar hotel.
Sorkin observed, “Something is going on in Nashville, Tennessee right now that makes you want to die with you.” The narrator exclaims, “Yes, something is happening!”
