Where To Watch “Death To 2021”?

The sequel to last year’s mockumentary, penned by Black Mirror’s Charlie Brooker, will reunite stars such as Diane Morgan from Mandy, Hugh Grant from Paddington 2, Tracey Ullman from Tracey Ullman, Samson Kayo from Bloods, and Joe Keery from Stranger Things.

Newcomers include Nick Mohammed from Ted Lasso, William Jackson Harper from The Good Place, Lucy Liu from Elementary, Stockard Channing from The West Wing, and Alistair Green from The Great.

The programme will, like its predecessor, look back on the previous year and combine historical footage with comments from fake talking heads.

Broke and Bones, Brooker’s production business, is once again behind Death to 2021, albeit the creator appears to be less involved this season, stepping down as executive producer while CunkOn Britain’s Ben Caudell takes over writing duties. Morgan plays a “ordinary British citizen” who describes her experience with internet dating during the pandemic in a hilarious teaser trailer from the special, which you can watch above. The character states, “I got along swimmingly with one of them.” “We even exchanged kisses.” The picture then turns to a couple on a Zoom virtual date who are hesitantly approaching their computer screens.

Hugh Grant, Lucy Liu, Tracey Ullman, and Samson Kay star as fictitious characters in the series, which tells the story of yet another dreadful year through a mock documentary that combines archival footage gathered throughout the year with commentary from fictitious characters played by Hugh Grant, Lucy Liu, Tracey Ullman, and Samson Kay.

Annabel Jones and Ben Caudell are executive producers of “Death to 2021”. (who penned the script). Nick Vaughan-Smith, along with Broke & Bones, produced the film, which is directed by Jack Clough and Josh Ruben.
