According to an A&E Network press release for “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime,” the film is about Mayor Alex Foster (Nevin), who must persuade Darcy Hawkins (Sevier) to loan his family’s historic mill to her. Foster wants to run the mill’s Christmas market in their little town, but persuading Hawkins to cooperate with her becomes difficult.
Darcy is a hermit, and the Fosters and Hawkins have had a long-running animosity. Alex must coax Darcy out of his shell and warm his frozen heart, persuading him to put aside their feuding families and do what is best for their village. When the twosome considers love, they must determine if they can overcome their particular obstacles to make it work.
Brooke Nevin plays Mayor Alex Foster in “It Takes a Christmas Village.” Darcy Hawkins, Foster’s love interest, is played by Corey Sevier, who also directed the film. Gina is played by Alli Chung, Gran is played by Lynne Griffin, Art Foster is played by Ron Lea, Frank is played by James Kall, Brent is played by Fuad Ahmed (billed as Gabe Grey), and Jo is played by Arlene Duncan. Annette Wozniak and Daniella Dela Pea also appear.
