    Where To Watch “Photocopier”?

Photocopier is written and directed by Wregas and produced by Kaninga Pictures and Rekata Studio, a digital media firm of Kompas Gramedia Group. The director will use this film to highlight the injustices that survivors of sexual violence and harassment in Indonesia experience.

The film, titled Penyalin Cahaya in Indonesia, had its international premiere at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival last month, where it competed for the New Currents Award, New Currents Audience Award, NETPAC Award, and FIPRESCI Award alongside ten other films from nine other countries.

With 17 nominations, the film won best director, best original script for Wregas and Henricus Pria, best actor for Chicco Kurniawan, best actress for Shenina Cinnamon, and best picture at the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI). On Wednesday evening, the awarding ceremony will take place.

Sur (Shenina Cinnamon) lost her scholarship after her inebriated selfie went viral online, accusing her of bringing dishonour to her faculty. Sur, on the other hand, had no recollection of the previous night’s events after blacking out at a college party.

She then turned to her childhood friend Amin (Chicco Kurniawan), a photocopier who lives and works on campus, for assistance in determining what had occurred to her that night at the party. Lutesha, Dea Panendra, Jerome Kurnia, and Giulio Parengkuan are among the young up-and-coming Indonesian performers in the film, which also features senior actors Lukman Sardi and Ruth Marini.

Wregas, a 28-year-old Yogyakarta native, is no stranger to the independent film scene. His short films Lemantun (2014) and Prenjak or In The Year of Monkey (2016), the latter of which won Best Short Film at the Cannes Film Festival’s Semaine de la Critique programme in 2016, helped him acquire attention in local and international film festivals. He became the first (and so far, only) Indonesian to receive an award at the famous festival as a result of his victory.

Wregas most recently directed the short film No One Is Crazy in This Town (2019), which was based on the short tale of the same name by author Eka Kurniawan. The short received its international premiere at BIFF 2019 and will participate at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.

Will the movie be accessible on Hulu?

Hulu doesn’t have this movie in its list. Despite the fact that the pandemic has irreparably altered nearly every area of our lives, one thing remains sacred: binge-watching holiday movies.

There’s nothing like watching someone learn the purported true meaning of Christmas or watching an hour and a half movie with actors doing literally anything throughout the holiday season to take your mind off the freezing cold or stressful family get-togethers. It’s the ideal diversion from the craziness that exists in the outer world.

There can’t be only romantic comedies and family-friendly stories about Santa Claus on a good Christmas movie list. We’ve all watched enough of those types of films to know exactly what will happen before the end. Sometimes you want a gritty action thriller like Die Hard, or a horror film like Krampus, which is more about holiday terror than cheer.
