Pedro Salinas is played by Méndez, a systematic priest who never breaks the norms and believes in regularity, and whose greatest wish is to be able to show his own miracle.
Simón Antequera, played by Silvestre, is Salinas’s companion and fellow priest. He has high ambitions within the church and, unlike Salinas, is perceptive and always provides a distinct perspective. Cortés, played by Irene Azuela, will be a pivotal figure in the quest for the truth, as she witnessed the clergyman’s first two miracles. Cortés takes an active role in tracking down the priests’ sought-after guy, whom she considers a brother.
