Where To Watch “The Envoys: Season 1”?

Do you want to see a new spooky drama? If that’s the case, The Envoys (also known as Los Enviados) might be exactly up your alley. The eight-episode Spanish-language series will premiere in the United States on January 20 on the streaming service, according to Paramount+. Luis Gerardo Méndez (Narcos: Mexico), Miguel ngel Silvestre (Narcos, Sense8), Irene Azuela (Sense8), and Miguel Rodrarte (Sense8) are among the cast members (Narcos: Mexico).

The Envoys follows two priests from the Vatican’s Congregation for the Causes of Saints (Méndez and Silvestre), who are in charge of verifying and examining possible saints’ miracles. They’re dispatched to a Mexico City suburb to investigate claims of miraculous healings done by another clergyman in a mental facility, but they’re astonished to learn that the priest in issue has vanished.

When they uncover a strong psychiatric colony connected to the town in odd ways, their very beliefs are tested. “The Envoys” follows two priests from the Vatican’s Congregation for the Causes of Saints, which is in charge of verifying and analyzing miracles performed by potential saints, as they go to Mexico to check reported miraculous healings performed by another clergyman in a mental facility.

They learn as soon as they arrive in Mexico City that the priest they are looking for has vanished without a trace. Their lives and faith are tested when they find a psychiatric colony on the outskirts of town that appears to hold more than one secret: a mystery that has been buried for decades and underpins each of the town’s residents. Pedro Salinas is played by Méndez, a systematic priest who never breaks the norms and believes in regularity, and whose greatest wish is to be able to show his own miracle.

Simón Antequera, played by Silvestre, is Salinas’s companion and fellow priest. He has high ambitions within the church and, unlike Salinas, is perceptive and always provides a distinct perspective. Cortés, played by Irene Azuela, will be a pivotal figure in the quest for the truth, as she witnessed the clergyman’s first two miracles. Cortés takes an active role in tracking down the priests’ sought-after guy, whom she considers a brother.
