    Where Was Antlers Filmed?

Scott Cooper is the director of the upcoming supernatural horror thriller Antlers. In a small Oregon town, a schoolteacher and her police officer brother become persuaded that one of her students is harbouring a supernatural entity.

Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. Thomas, Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane, and Amy Madigan are among the cast members. C. Henry Chaisson, Nick Antosca, and Cooper wrote the script, which was based on Antosca’s short storey “The Quiet Boy,” which was first published in Guernica magazine in January 2019.

After one of her students, Lucas, writes a particularly horrific story for an assignment, Julia, a young elementary school teacher, takes a special interest in him. She discovers he’s concealing a magical creature in his house, and solving the mystery will necessitate a thorough investigation of local folklore.

Her brother, Paul, the local sheriff, also gets roped into it as the two of them embark on this journey. The movie’s plot sounds sinister and in the first trailer for the film, young Lucas reads out his creepy story and that scared my socks off.

The film was originally set to be released on April 17, 2020, however owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was pulled from the schedule. Before being removed off the release timetable again, it was rescheduled for February 19, 2021. On October 29, 2021, it is finally set to be released.

After filming on location, the crew relocated to a Burnaby studio for three weeks.

Director Scott Cooper fell in love with Hope as a setting for the teacher and her brother’s neighbourhood in Cispus Falls, Oregon, according to Silbermann. The town looked fantastic and it fit the tale perfectly.

Hope has been in a number of films and this one also made full use of the backdrop. The actors and crew stayed in various hotels for the night, and the neighbourhood gladly welcomed them, according to Silbermann. The community has been kind and accommodating, he continued, and that is always the key.

It’s a disaster if the director falls in love with a place but the community isn’t on board. The whole cast and crew were extremely fortunate that the town was so welcoming and accommodating to all of them.
