Where Was I’m Your Man Filmed?

Maria Schrader wrote and directed I’m Your Man, a German sci-fi romantic drama film starring Maren Eggert, Dan Stevens, and Sandra Hüller. In March 2021, it had its world premiere at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival. This film was a crowd-pleaser at the Berlin film festival earlier this year, and its star, Maren Eggert, took home the festival’s new gender-neutral best leading performance award.

We are in a near-future universe located in the city of Berlin. Alma is played by Eggert, an archaeologist with a tumultuous personal life. Her boss persuades her to be a test subject for a new hi-tech scheme: she will road-test a male “companion” robot, programmed to be infinitely thoughtful and accommodating, and who will attend to all of her emotional and physical requirements.

So, Alma reluctantly accepts this handsome humanoid geisha: Tom, represented by Dan Stevens in exquisite, fluent German. And despite a difficult, angry start, Alma inevitably comes to believe that there could be something to this soulless voyage in existential convenience.

On February 11, 2021, Berlinale announced that the film would premiere at the Berlinale Competition section of the 71st Berlin International Film Festival in March 2021. Soon later, Bleecker Street bought the rights to distribute the film in the United States. It will be released in the United States on September 17, 2021.

    I’m Your Man filming locations

This movie where Alma meets Tom, a one-of-a-kind humanoid machine built only to make her happy, is a comedic-tragic story about love, longing, and what makes a human being actually human.

This film is set in a futuristic Berlin, which is located in Germany and is completely shot in Berlin as well. Berlin is also the capital of Germany

Berlin has plenty of intriguing blockbuster settings, such the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall, and Tiergarten Tunnel. When Germany was split, gripping spy thrillers set along the border between East and West were all the rage.

However, Berlin is only one example. “Lights, camera, action!” has reverberated across the country in many other towns and cities. Not to mention the fact that Hollywood is always returning to the Rhine-Oder region.

    Berlin, Germany

The German capital has a rich film history, extending back to classics like Walter Ruttmann’s “Berlin: Symphony of a Metropolis” (1927) and Wim Wenders’ “Wings of Desire” (1987).

    Berlin, Germany

In the European and German film industries, Berlin is a prominent hub. There are about 1000 film and television production firms in the city, as well as 270 movie houses. Every year, over 300 national and international co-productions are filmed in the region.

Outside of Berlin, in Potsdam, are the world-famous Babelsberg Studios and the production house UFA.

The European Film Academy and the German Film Academy are both based in Berlin, and the city organises the annual Berlin International Film Festival, which is widely regarded as the world’s largest public film festival.

With a wonderful piano-based tune and gorgeous vistas of Berlin, it’s a light and easy-to-watch film. The film includes beautiful, sweeping views of the Berlin cityscape and many of its charming locations as we follow this one of a kind love story between a girl and a robot.
