First Teaser For Y: The Last Man Is Apocalypse Galore

In the first teaser for FX’s upcoming comic book adaptation, Y: The Last Man, the world becomes unique. When men suddenly disappear from every corner of the world, the post-apocalyptic tale of Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s Vertigo post-apocalyptic science fiction comic book series of the same name forces the human race into difficult situations.

The universe of Y: The Last Man, which follows Yorick Brown and his beloved Capuchin monkey Ampersand. Agent 355 is Yorick’s bodyguard and the book recounts his adventures as he navigates his way through the new world, joining up with other survivors to keep Yorick safe and rebuild what has been destroyed.

All males on earth suddenly die in a horrific and bloody manner, as depicted in the teaser. While the teaser keeps a lot of things under wraps, the adaptation appears to have kept the scale and drama of the plot, with the globe left heartbroken and wondering what on earth to do next.

Even the characters seem to have been adapted well, especially the enigmatic Agent 355, played by Ashley Romans, whose no-nonsense approach to the apocalypse and distinct set of skills often result in her fighting her way through the problem.

The fight to get Brian K. Vaughan’s famous post-apocalyptic novel Y: The Last Man to the big screen has been as dramatic as anything in the comic, and this newly released trailer will no doubt have fans excited to witness the epic tale leap into living action. Development on the series began back in 2015.

Diane Lane plays Yorick’s mother, Congresswoman Jennifer Brown plays Yorick’s sister Hero Brown, Diana Bang plays Dr. Allison Mann, Juliana Canfield plays Beth DeVille, Marin Ireland plays Nora Brady, Amber Tamblyn plays Kimberly Cunningham, and Elliot Fletcher plays Sam Jordan, rounding out the ensemble cast.

The Last Man will premiere on FX on Hulu on September 13 next month.
