Canadian actor and director Steven Kostanski has made his fair share of contributions to the world of horror with films like ‘The Void’ (2016) and ‘Leprechaun Returns’ (2018). While the former centres around a cult that use a hospital as the gateway to evil, the latter tells the story of sorority sisters that unknowingly call trouble upon themselves on waking a murderous leprechaun. Both the films were received decently, but now, Kostanski is all set to bring something new to the table.
Horror, sci-fi, and comic relief! After being delayed from its original date in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is releasing this month in horror sci-fi ‘Psycho Goreman’. The film will tell the story of assassins from another cosmos that help save a small town after two siblings awaken a foregone alien overlord without realising it. Although the film is rated ‘R,’ the trailer features the lead child actors Nita-Josee Hanna and Owen Myre, bringing a little bit of a comic element with the two seemingly befriending a monster partying with a few. At the same time while they have a ball as a monster-rock band.
Man’s been busy and would like to get busier Kostanski has made it clear that he would love to work on sequels of PG if they were to happen. His primary aim to making those sequels happen seemed clear: “somehow we have to get to PG13- whether it’s 11 more movies or 11 episodes of a TV show that get us to a 13th movie”. He is currently working with Syfy productions, that he worked with during ‘Leprechaun Returns’, on an upcoming series paying homage to Romero’s ‘Day of the Dead’.
