The DC Extended Universe’s superhero fantasy film has adopted a new avatar, and it is all set to hit HBO Max on the 18th of March. Released in 2017, Justice League was met with negative reviews, primarily due to Warner Brother editing out several scenes shot by director Zack Snyder. However, Snyder will be releasing his version of the film this March. Fans are excited to see Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) back on screen together.
What’s in the ‘Snyder Cut’?
The film’s runtime will be a whopping 4 hours, comprising of scenes shot previously that did not make it to the final mix. It will also have 4-5 minutes of footage that were shot last year. Jared Leto’s infamous Joker will be sharing the screen with the rest of the cast, quite possibly in a minor role. His look has been revamped, and it is quite different from what it was in Dave Ayer’s Suicide Squad. The green hair has been swapped for longer, darker hair. He also happens to wear a crown made of thorns and a white robe instead of the flashy attire he donned in Suicide Squad. Several critics have described his new-do as Christ-like. Joker is set to appear [Spoiler Warning!] in a dream sequence that portrays a dystopian world that was invaded. The rest of the plot stands similar to its 2017 version, with Steppenwolf attacking a world crushed by the death of Superman while Batman ventures to bring the heroes together and form a league of their own.

Why the re-release of the film is special
Not just critics but loyal fans of DC were quite disappointed with Joss Whedon’s ‘Justice League’ and Snyder’s ideas not making it to the final edit for the film. With several tweets and requests from the fanbase to see the ‘Snyder Cut,’ the re-release is a highly anticipated one.
