Soon coming to Netflix is the Zack Snyder-directed zombie film Army of the Dead. The film is set in Las Vegas and tells the story of a bunch of mercenaries trying to pull off the ultimate heist by breaking and entering a zombie quarantine zone. It stars Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, 2014), Ella Purnell (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, 2016), Omari Hardwick (Spell, 2020), Ana De La Reguera (Nacho Libre, 2006), Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy, 2008), Matthias Schweighöfer (100 Things, 2018), Nora Arnezeder (Angélique, 2013) and Huma Qureshi (Ek Thi Daayan, 2013). A poster and release date has just been revealed and fans should mark their calendars for this May.
The poster conceptualises the film’s synopsis.
A bloody bank vault door that is barely holding itself together as something tries to break out is the eye-catcher of the film’s poster. Zombie hands covered in blood and wanting some more are the new-age ways of them coming out as opposed to the classic hand-sticking-out-of-the-grave shot. Playing cards and money notes fly about and a bag full of cash lies dangerously close to that vault for anyone to risk getting to it. The poster features the line “survivor takes all” and seems like the perfect blend of classic zombie mayhem and bank heist.

Snyder’s other works:
The film will be coming to Netflix on the 21st of May and while it was easy to overlook everything else Snyder has been working on given how Justice League’s Snyder Cut is just around the corner, the director has had his hands full with more projects. Previously, he has worked on some of the most memorable films such as Watchmen, Batman v Superman, 300, Dawn of the Dead, Sucker Punch and many more.
