The Wrong Turn series has had numerous faces throughout the years as the sequels have changed tones and aesthetics. The films have spanned three separate types of subgenres during their seven releases in an attempt to stay relevant. The nasty Odets siblings of the Wrong Turn franchise who are the main villains, often appear unkillable, but Three Finger was finally killed off in Wrong Turn 3.
The inbred cannibal tribe is the Odets brother. They are a triad of monsters comprising of One Eye, Saw Tooth, and Three Finger, and were the antagonists in all of the previous films in the series. Three Finger is the most vicious and bloodthirsty of the three, having killed a total of 206 people over the course of the franchise. He’s also the most well-known of the villain, having appeared in each of the six pre-reboot films.

After two Wrong Turn films, depicting inbred cannibals slaughtering innocent city dwellers, Wrong Turn 3 drops the curtains with Nate, the protagonist stabbing Three Finger through the head with a meat hook during a fight. Then dumping his body on top of a burning truck which goes up in flames, thus, finally slaying Three Finger.
Both the previouseditions end with post-explosionswith Three Finger surviving to run rampage another day. However, after Three Finger’sdeath in Wrong Turn 3, the series never incorporated any new events to its canon.
The heightened gore aspect of the subsequent flicks (which were prequels), as well as the unkillable status they gained, rendered the trio more lethal than they were in the first three flicks. This cast some doubt on Three Finger’s death. However, the abysmal reception of thesequels, ensures that he will remain dead, regardless of the fate of the Wrong Turn franchise.
Wrong Turn rebooted in 2021 with new villains and a more serious tone, ditching the theatrics of the previous films in favour of a real, brutal morality story.
