Adam Robitel, the director of Escape Room, and Gavin Heffernan, the writer of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, are reunited for a new Netflix horror series. They previously collaborated on the eerie faux-documentary The Taking of Deborah Logan. This new Netflix series, named The Craving, would investigate “the real-world tragedies of addiction via a genre lens,” similar to how Deborah Logan utilised Alzheimer’s as a springboard for a horror narrative. Executive produced by Darren Aronofsky.

Blending real-life horrors with scares like to those seen in horror movies can often result in incredibly powerful material. They’ve worked together on The Taking of Deborah Logan, so they’re familiar with the situation.
The 2014 discovered footage/faux-documentary went directly to VOD and didn’t get a lot of attention when it first came out. Horror enthusiasts, on the other hand, eventually discovered and enjoyed the film, which has some truly terrifying scenes. Horror is all the rage right now and we can’t wait to see what they do with this.
