Tim Sale and Jeph Loeb set out twenty-five years ago to write a mystery yarn about how Gotham City moved from crime to freaks, according to Jeph Loeb. As a result, Batman: The Long Halloween was born. They’re ecstatic to be returning to DC, where they’ll be revisiting some of our favourite characters while also hinting that we may not know the whole storey. We are super excited to see what they come up with this time around!
Working together on Batman has brought out the best in Jeph and him as Gotham City storytellers, according to Tim Sale. They’ve also been fortunate to have Comicraft’s Richard Starkings’ enormous abilities with them every step of the way, and they’re excited to add colorist Brennan Wagner to help with the latest effort.
The cover art for the comic book looks amazing and has the signature silhouette of Batman and Gotham City against an orange backdrop and obviously, a wicked pumpkin because what says ‘Halloween’ more than a carved pumpkin.
Batman Long Halloween Part 2 will hit theatres and screen on 27th July this year, make sure to catch it as well!
