Finally, Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which is eerily similar to the first two films in many aspects.
The trailer hits the nostalgic sweet spot, showcasing Annie Potts as fan favourite Janine, Egon Spangler’s love interest, as well as a glimpse of Dan Aykroyd’s Ray Stantz. Furthermore, we catch a glimpse of a terror dog/Zuul(?) and possibly even Gozer as the ghosts are released from a well.
The movie follows the fate of a family. When a single mother and her two children move to a tiny town, they learn of their grandfather’s link to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy he left behind. When something mysterious resembling New York City’s “Manhattan Crossrip of 1984” scares the town, the kids, along with their family and friends, must be ready to accept the Ghostbusters’ technology to preserve it.

Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver have all confirmed that they will reprise their iconic and beloved roles in this sequel to the original masterpiece. But the largest and most charming homage is seeing Harold Ramis return in a Ghostbusters film, even if it’s only on YouTube footage of the infamous 1984 Ghostbusters television commercial.
Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd are among the cast members of Afterlife and it is directed by Jason Reitman.
Under the Ghostbusters franchise, it is the fourth film after Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989). After being postponed three times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is set to be released in the United States on November 11, 2021. RealD 3D will be used to release the picture.
The sequel to the original classicswill hit theatres on November, thus it will be “The Holiday Season of Ghostbusters.” Keep an eye out for the release, we know we will!
