According to a new report, when Barry Allen explores the multiverse in The Flash, he will face an unexpected foe.
A new rumour circulating about the upcoming DC film The Flash claims to know who the film’s villain will be, and it’s a surprising decision. Please keep in mind that this is simply a rumour at this point, and it has yet to be proven, but it’s an intriguing one, so here we are. According to the source, The Flash’s adversary will be none other than The Flash himself, with an evil version of Barry Allen serving as the film’s main antagonist.

According to the report, “this “other” Barry Allen will be operating as a “Dark Flash” antagonist to the displaced Barry Allen,” and serve as a main opponent in the film, and that the plot of The Flash will be based on the Flashpoint comic. The latter has been rumoured for a while, with The Flash set to debut alternate versions of many DC characters, including Michael Keaton’s return as Batman, but the concept that Barry Allen will play both hero and villain is all new, and certainly intriguing.
This rumour aligns with some recent photographs from The Flash filming that have surfaced online, which show Ezra Miller and another actor who appears eerily similar to Ezra Miller engaged in deep dialogue. Is this the same villainous Barry Allen who torments our beloved Flash?
The Flash, directed by Andy Muschietti, will supposedly introduce spectators to the universe, and if it takes its inspiration from Flashpoint, it’s likely that the Fastest Man Alive would fly back in time to save his mother, who was slain during Barry Allen’s childhood. As is typical of similar time travel follies, Barry’s interference leads him to a far bleaker parallel universe in which the Amazons and Atlanteans are engaged in a full-fledged war that has destroyed the planet.
