An Official Novelisation For Halloween Kills Is On Its Way!

The novelization of Halloween Kills will be released in October, only a few days after the movie opens in theatres. Halloween Kills is a follow-up to 2018’s Halloween, which retconned the franchise’s multiple sequels to give it a fresh lease on life following John Carpenter’s original 1978 picture. The 2018 film was directed by David Gordon Green, who co-wrote the script with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley. Green returns to direct Halloween Kills, based on a script he co-wrote with McBride and Scott Teems, a newbie to the genre. Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her renowned role as Laurie Strode as well.

The novelization of the movie will be released on October 19, one week after the film opens in theatres. Tim Waggoner penned the novelization, which clocks in at 320 pages. Titan Books, which has already published cinematic novelizations for Pacific Rim, Man of Steel, and The Dark Knight Rises, will publish it. The book’s cover image is based on the film’s poster, which features Michael Myer’s scary mask. Take a look at the creative on the cover.

The cover art is a stunning close up of the mask that we have come to know so well. The mask happens to be the heart and soul and one of the most recognisable features in the entire franchise. The vibes are creepy and chilling and we can’t wait to see what this upcoming horror season has in store for us.

While there is no official synopsis for the book, novelizations usually begin with the screenplay and work their way up to the finished product. There are also many facts that don’t make it into the final picture because a scene was removed or a script was changed before it was shot, so novelizations typically feature a lot of extra information.

After escaping from his fiery tomb, Michael continues his murder spree in the Halloween Kills trailer, therefore the book should follow the same theme. Halloween Kills fans will finally see thefilm and read the novelization this October!
