Scarlett Johansson Will Star In And Produce Disney’s Tower Of Terror Movie!

Scarlett Johansson, widely known and recognized as Black Widow, is set to produce and feature in a Tower of Terror film based on the Disney attraction of the same name.

Scarlett Johansson’s company, These Pictures, is producing Tower of Terror. The film is being produced for her to star in as well, according to several reports. The screenplay is written by Josh Cooley, who directed Toy Story 4. For the time being, plot specifics are being kept under wraps. The iconic Disney Parks attraction, however, was inspired by The Twilight Zone. Along with Johansson, Jonathan Lia will produce the film.

Another Disney attraction is being adapted for the big screen. A new rendition of the renowned theme park ride, Tower of Terror, is in the works, and Scarlett Johansson is set to star in and produce it. This immediately elevates the project to A-list status, which may help it move forward behind the scenes at the studio, where it has been in production for several years. Johansson’s star power, on the other hand, could be the boost it needs.

There has yet to be any announcement on a director. Disney, on the other hand, is thought to be planning to “shoot high.” It’s easy to see why with Scarlett Johansson on board. It could be able to pique the interest of an A-list director.

In 2015, it was rumoured that Big Fish screenwriter John August had pitched a Tower of Terror film to Disney. He brought in a treatment that was produced by Jim Whitaker. Since the news first broke, there have been almost no updates. This will not be the first time the attraction has been adapted into a film. In a 1997 made-for-TV movie based on the trip, Steve Gutenberg and Kirsten Dunst starred.

Keep an eye out for this one because Disney’s ride to movies adaptations have been worth the watch historically such as, Pirates of the Caribbean – Curse of the Black Pearl.
